The Worship Director, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, will be responsible for oversight of the Sunday morning worship services in all elements of music and sound. - “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth”. (John 4:24)

With over 40 years of serving the Brampton, Central Park Baptist Church is a multi-ethnic growing church with a vision of being a place where people experience God’s presence and love through the word, worship, and fellowship as we pray, love, serve and give.

• Has a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a vital, personal, and growing relationship with Him
• Has a calling into ministry, teachable and approachable
• Is a disciple-making leader and has a strong desire to see people meet with God through public worship
• Agrees with our church statement of faith beliefs
• Embraces and adapt to growth, change, innovation, and creativity
• Uses appropriate judgment in the areas of discretion, sensitivity, and leadership

• Promote an inter-generational worship atmosphere through music selection, a unique mix of hymns and current worship songs
• Arrange volunteer musicians for each service
• Work with the Worship Coordinator, Pastor & Board of Deacon to plan weekly worship services and special services (i.e. Good Friday, Christmas, New Year's Eve, etc.)

• Create an environment that encourages and brings together the praise team in unified expression to allow the congregation to fully express praise to our Lord
• Identify, support, and develop the musical talent across generations of the Church
• Lead a Spirit-led worship service and grow the music ministry
• Conducts weekly rehearsals in preparation for weekly services
• Train, manage, and care for the volunteer worship teams
• Work with the youth and children’s ministry leaders for age-graded worship experiences within the church

• Develop a process to regularly identify and deploy new volunteers in the church’s worship ministry
• Develop an annual worship ministry budget and be able to work within that budget
• Oversee the church’s sound system and the maintenance of all musical instruments owned by the church
• Attend all church staff meetings and retreats (if applicable)
• Communicate regularly with others serving in the worship ministry to give assistance and encouragement, to share resources and ideas, and to have continuity week to week for the congregation

• Demonstrates skills as a vocalist and instrumentalist and is proficient in reading music
• Broad knowledge of Christian worship music across multiple styles and generational tastes
• Experience leading and managing teams from a servant leadership perspective
• Some formal training in music (and specifically church music) is preferred
• Computer skills and experience with Google Drive is an asset
