Senior pastor needed to preach and administer to a Jane-Finch/North York area church.

 LMBC was established in the North York area in 1980. The church membership comprises of 66 members whose roots are from the Caribbean and West Africa. There is a desire to have the church reflect the multi-cultural community in the vicinity.  LMBC is a member church of the Canadian Baptist of Ontario and Quebec and the Jane-Finch Church Coalition. We are a diverse, flourishing and vibrant faith community that has served the North York area for over 43 years.  We are also a bible believing church that aspire to have a strong neighbourhood presence and to serve our city in collaboration with local mission partners.

• Experience working as an assistant and/or associate pastor.
• Experience working as a leader or associate or completing theological training in a recognized seminary
• Preference for a master’s degree in divinity

• Provide pastoral care in times of celebrations, grief and stress of life for church members and families in the community
• Work with the church leaders to providing spiritual oversight of casting the vision and fulfilling the church mission
• Oversee prayers and bible studies.
• Support and be compassionate to families, church members and all people in times of stress, grief and financial and marital issues.
• Responsible for general oversight of the spiritual welfare of the church.
• Encourage, equip and mobilize members to use their spiritual gifts/talents, interest and experience to build up the body of Christ.

• Able to communicate the Gospel to people of all ages and situations.
• Able to teach and encourage church members and be actively involved in evangelism.
