Yorkminster Park Baptist Church is seeking a full-time Minister of the Congregation (Minister) to provide spiritual leadership, faithful preaching, and visionary guidance for our church in the heart of midtown Toronto.

Yorkminster Park is known for strong biblical preaching, traditional worship, and sacred music. With more than 600 members and worshippers from across the Greater Toronto Area and beyond, we are a congregation defined by calling, gathered for worship, discipleship, and service in the city and the world. Strengthened by meaningful ecumenical relationships, we work alongside Christians of many traditions in shared mission and common witness.

The purpose of Yorkminster Park Baptist Church is to offer an ongoing witness to the reality of the Risen Christ in our lives and in our world through worship and service, in word and deed. We seek to be a place of sanctuary, prayer, and peace in the heart of the city, embodying the teachings of Christ and planting seeds of faith, hope, and love to the glory of God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Accreditation in good standing with CBOQ is required. Candidates not currently accredited must be eligible and willing to pursue accreditation and maintain good standing as a condition of continuing in the position.
The preferred candidate will be:
- An ordained minister recognized by a Baptist Convention in fellowship with the Canadian Baptist Ministries
- An ordained minister recognized by a Baptist Convention of another country, whose ordination standards are acceptable to the Credentials Committee of Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec
- An ordained minister within another Christian denomination, whose ordination standards are acceptable to the Credentials Committee of Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec.
The preferred candidate will:
- Hold a Master of Divinity/Theology from a recognized theological institution.
Role and Responsibilities
The Minister will provide leadership at Yorkminster Park Baptist Church as a member of a collaborative Ministerial Team composed of:
- Minister of Pastoral Care and Discipleship
- Director of Family Ministry
- Director of Mission and Community Engagement
- Director of Music and Church Organist
- Parish Nurse
The Minister is called:
- To preach the gospel of Christ.
- To lead the spiritual growth and expansion of the church.
- To be a leader within the church community and connect, collaborate, partner and serve with clergy from other denominations and faiths.
- To work with the Boards of the Church to provide vision for the future and sustainability of the church community at YPBC.

- Proven leadership within a church community
