Mount Hamilton Baptist Church (MHBC) is seeking a passionate and relational Associate Pastor to join our pastoral team and help lead our church in discipleship, pastoral care, and mission. Christian We know it is important for people to find community, but we believe it is even more important for people to find God. When someone commits their life to following Christ, we say they have become a Christian. As Christians, we hope to live and act more like Christ every day.

Missional The term “missional” refers to living each day with a mission in mind – the mission of sharing God with others and caring for people as He has called us. As a missional church, our goal is not just to care for those “in” our walls, but to reach out beyond them.

• Theological education (MDiv or equivalent preferred)
• Ordained or willing to pursue ordination with the CBOQ

• Lead and develop discipleship pathways (small groups, Alpha, prayer initiatives)
• Provide pastoral care (visits, calls, prayer, crisis support)
• Foster connection and community engagement, especially with newcomers
• Support and equip ministry teams and volunteers
• Participate in Sunday services (preaching, leadership, volunteer management, presence)
• Help lead local and global mission initiatives
• Contribute to church administration and communication

• A committed follower of Jesus with a clear call to pastoral ministry
• Relational, approachable, and passionate about people
• Gifted in discipleship, care, and team leadership
• Organized, flexible, and able to balance people-focused ministry with administrative responsibilities
• Aligned with the vision and values of MHBC and the CBOQ
