Description

NBBC is currently searching for a Worship Arts and Congregation Engagement Director. In this role, the Director will oversee and provide leadership to our Worship Arts Ministry by developing and mentoring musicians, leading a worship team, and coordinating the Worship Team schedule. They will also play a role in providing oversight and development of volunteers at NBBC.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • A sincere love for God, with a passion for growing in faith.
  • Credential or willing to be credentialed with the CBOQ.
  • Able to lead congregational worship.
  • Theological education is an asset.
  • Relevant experience in worship arts.
  • A passion for both worship and spiritual formation and a desire to engage people in the broader ministry of the church.
  • Must be able to work well in teams (both paid and volunteer) and desire to see others equipped for ministry.
  • Good organizational skills would be required for effective scheduling of teams and organizing of ministry details.
  • Effective communication and administrative skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • The successful candidate will agree to the statement of faith, doctrinal values, and lifestyles document.
  • A police and vulnerable sector check will be required.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop and mentor musicians and potential worship leaders
  • Coordinate schedule for worship teams
  • Work closely with Sr. Minister in weekly service planning
  • Lead / play on a worship team at least one Sunday every month
  • Oversee the weekly worship service
  • Keep up to date on the latest worship songs and trends
  • Provide oversight of volunteerism and its development at NBBC
  • Help in the development of small groups
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings
  • Serve as a member of the preaching team
  • Other duties as assigned
