With all the praying and interceding before Assembly, we arrived with a revived spirit of expectancy. From the warm welcome to heartfelt farewells, the atmosphere was contagious. The name of our Lord was lifted high, and the weekend’s theme—“Sharpen Your Pencils” (Habakkuk 2:2)—was brought to life throughout. The Habakkuk Bible study stirred bold vision grounded in trust.
Sam Reimer’s talk on the “Age of Self-Spirituality” challenged us to re-examine our churches from the outside in. Rev. Ken Foo’s preaching renewed our focus and passion.
Praise and worship grounded the weekend in Spirit-filled unity. Its impact flowed into Pentecost Sunday, with Western and ARMBA Associations gathering together in continued praise. Pastor Della’s heartfelt prayer left a deep impression—many sought her out afterward for thanks or prayer.
Youth engagement stood out. From worship to workshops, their involvement brought energy and truth. In one session, they vulnerably shared how often they feel unheard or left out of important decisions in the church. Their words served as a convicting reminder that true discipleship includes voice, value, and belonging. We’re thankful for the 5:1 Church Model and Alvin’s thoughtful leadership in creating space for youth leaders to connect and encourage one another.
Workshops like “Theo-Future Thinking” called us to lead with holy imagination. The Niagara Falls field trip blended learning and wonder, with spiritual insights and land-based history that deeply resonated. One youth, drawn by the trip, left spiritually renewed—a quiet but powerful testimony.
The Missionaries Icebreaker Bingo brought laughter, conversation, and meaningful new connections. We met new and old friends, shared contact info, and look forward to building stronger bridges with our Baptist family.
And yes—Cynthia’s win of the BBQ utensil set added the perfect spark to a weekend overflowing with grace, joy, and shared vision.
