Immanuel Baptist Church, 1100 Finch Ave E, North York, ON M2J 2X4.
Boundaries are important in every aspect of life. This is particularly true for ministry leaders as healthy boundaries enable us to serve well. CBOQ is offering the pastoral boundaries course to serving ministry leaders for the first time. (This is a mandatory course for all ministry leaders who have applied for accreditation since 2021.)
You may wonder why you take such a course. Afterall, aren’t you a pastor with theological training? Isn’t it a given that pastors know what they are doing and can be trusted because we are an ethical lot?
As we will discover on our journey, boundaries are complex and fluid. That is why there is a need to:
- To increase awareness for healthy and appropriate boundaries between ministry leaders and congregations.
- To illustrate the impact of appropriate versus inappropriate boundaries in ministry.
- To provide you with some guidelines and suggestions to develop the boundaries you need in your context and help you develop healthy and necessary self-care strategies.
This is a one, full-day course, in person and is free of charge to the participants. Lunch included.
