As we approach Giving Tuesday, I feel it is important to reflect on the profound impact this day can have on organizations in need of support. Giving Tuesday was established as a global day of giving, it serves as a powerful reminder of our collective responsibility to uplift one another and strengthen our communities.
At Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec (CBOQ), our mission is clear, we exist to equip churches and leaders as they engage in their mission from God within their communities. We are blessed every day to witness the incredible work being done through our network of churches. Unfortunately we cannot tell each story but we continue to share in our magazine and enewsletters the transformative efforts of our pastors and churches, demonstrating the love and dedication within our Baptist family.
Since the pandemic, we’ve struggled to effectively ask for funds to support our mission. While we remain humble in our approach, we recognize that there is so much work to be done. Many organizations ask for support regularly, and perhaps we should be more proactive in our requests. We want to ensure that our community knows the vital role their contributions play in helping us fulfill our mission.
On Giving Tuesday, we invite you to consider the difference your contribution can make. Your generosity enables us to provide essential resources, training, and support to our churches and leaders. Every gift—large or small—empowers our community to thrive and fulfill its God-given purpose.
