This is an opportunity to gather with your peers to exchange ideas, share struggles and encourage one another in ministry, focusing on what is unique to leadership in larger church contexts. Your voice is an important contribution and so I hope you will make it a priority to be with us.
Modeled on a decade of experience from similar retreats held by Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada, we would like to gather the pastors from our largest churches for a day-long retreat to network, learn, grow, laugh and pray together.
Held at the beautiful Isaiah Tubbs Resort and Conference Centre in Picton, Ontario, halfway between Toronto and Montreal, and just 25 minutes south of the 401 on a beautiful sand beach, the retreat will be on May 6-7, 2019, so mark your calendar! To ease the financial burden on your church, CBOQ has secured a discount from the Centre, and made some funds available to help subsidize the cost where needed.
Beginning on May 6 at 1:00 pm, and wrapping up the following day at 2:30 pm, the total cost for the event is $200, inclusive of your meals and room. For those travelling greater distances, you can book an extra night (Sunday/Tuesday night) at the Centre for an additional charge of $150/night. (Please note that food is not included in the cost for extra nights.)
We will be participating in facilitated sessions focused on the issues that are impacting your congregations, so we hope you’ll come prepared to work together with your peers, sharing your challenges, ideas, solutions and more.
