Overview of Church and Community

Murray Street Baptist Church is located in downtown Peterborough surrounded by a mix of residential – apartments, single dwellings and boarding housing. As well, the commercial district is not too far away. There is a mix of new and old apartments/condos within walking distance.

The church itself has been in ministry for 175 years and the present building was built in 1912. The congregation is small and is mostly populated by seniors. However, volunteerism is reasonably strong.
