Priory Park Baptist Church (PPBC) seeks a part-time Worship Director to enrich our Sunday worship service. The purpose of PPBC is to build a loving community, follow Jesus as his disciples, and advance his mission to bring his good news to the world. We therefore seek someone with musical and leadership skills who can build teams and empower the skills of others so that we might develop a compelling and Spirit-led worship ministry that gives glory to God and inspires our congregation to deepen their faith in him.

PPBC was established in 1971 as a church plant of First Baptist Church, Guelph. Since our establishment, we have been dedicated to faithfully serving our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and bringing the Gospel to our city and beyond. We are a diverse church with many ethnicities and age groups. We worship in a contemporary style, and we meet together through the week in our Discipling Communities (small groups). We welcome about 60-80 worshippers on a Sunday Morning. PPBC is affiliated with the Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec.

• Experience musically leading worship services in a contemporary style with a blend of songs from different eras.
• Musically skilled in vocals and in a musical instrument capable of leading a worship service (e.g., guitar, piano, keyboard).
• Competent (or able to quickly learn and gain competency) in audio & video production tools (e.g., sound boards, microphones, computers, TV screens, video cameras, HDMI & XLR cables, PowerPoint). Experience with EasyWorship and Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) is a plus.
• Formal theological education not required, but must have a solid grasp of the Scriptures and Christian theology such that you can lead others spiritually, evaluate worship music, etc.
• A relational leader who connects well with and can mentor a diverse group of people in both group and individual settings.
• Coachable and welcomes feedback.
• Personal faith in Jesus Christ and demonstration of that faith in lifestyle and character.
• Can support and uphold the purpose and Statement of Faith of PPBC (priorparkchurch.com/sof).
• Complete a Vulnerable Sector Police Check every 3 years.

• Coordinate the production of the weekly Sunday worship service and special services (e.g., Christmas Eve, Good Friday, Ash Wednesday) alongside the Lead Pastor.
• Lead the Music Ministry by recruiting, training, and coaching volunteers and fostering the ongoing development of the ministry.
• Oversee the scheduling of the volunteers through Planning Center.
• Ensure the quality of our worship music is growing by ensuring worship bands are rehearsing and developing their individual skill. We do not expect the music quality to be flawless or professional. We hope to be a church where people of varying skill levels can contribute their musical gifts. However, we do support the existence of reasonable musical standards to ensure our music is of acceptable quality.
• Be present for weekly Sunday worship and one mid-week evening rehearsal.
• Work alongside our Tech Coordinator to ensure that the technical requirements of our worship services are being met.
