The Senior Pastor is a key leader at Bromley Road Baptist Church, serving alongside the church’s Leadership Team to shape and advance the church’s mission, vision, and values, and motivating staff and congregants to serve in the church and community. 

With a comprehensive understanding of the Bible, and solid grounding in theology, the Senior Pastor is the primary preacher and teacher at Bromley, communicating the Word of God in formats and language that are relevant to people’s lives, and which encourage them to take the next step in their faith journey.  

The Senior Pastor models, teaches, and encourages people into a growing relationship with Jesus, one step at a time, and works with staff, the leadership team, and other ministry leaders to develop their gifts and skills so that they are equipped, empowered, and entrusted to lead ministries in service to our church and community. 

With compassion and respect, the Senior Pastor leads Bromley in exploring new forms and styles of ministry to meet people where they are, and to not make it difficult for people to turn to God. While the drivers of change are likely to change over the years, the current context includes welcoming people back to in-person services; facilitating engaging hybrid services; and supporting Bromley’s digital church plant, Click Church. 

Our main weekly gatherings happen on Sundays at 10:30am. Our services are livestreamed on YouTube and Facebook. We have three focus areas of ministry: our kids program, youth program, and our small groups. We offer Shine On Summer Day Camp for kids ages 5 to 11 and support a range of local and international ministry partners.  

Bromley Road Baptist Church is a member of the Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec (CBOQ) and has a post-pandemic weekly attendance of 90-100 people in-person and 20+ online viewers of Sunday morning worship services. Our church draws congregants from all across the National Capital Region. 

Bromley Road Baptist Church is a Baptist church and member of the Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec. Our church exists to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, one step at a time. We strive to not make it difficult for people to turn to God by creating environments where the unchurched and non-believer are comfortable and can encounter God. 

• A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. 
• Preferred 5+ years of pastoral ministry experience. Non-pastoral leadership experience may be considered, if deemed relevant. 
• Have a Master’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited and recognized theological seminary.  
• CBOQ accreditation or the ability and willingness to acquire accreditation. 
• A meaningful and self-motivated change agent. 
• A sincere love for the people inside and outside the church. 
• A team player who collaborates with, and shepherds, staff and leaders well. 
• Possesses excellent communication skills in writing and speaking. 
• Fluent in English. Ability to communicate in French would be considered an asset.
