The Manager of CU Serves and Undergraduate Student Life and Transformation is responsible to develop, implement
and manage all aspects of the new CU Serves student volunteer program. This includes the Co-Curricular Record, the
Crandall Citizenship Awards, the CU Serves Fair, CU Serves Days, as well as oversight and promotion of volunteer and
ministry opportunities both in the community and internationally. The manager will also be responsible for
transformation initiatives including connecting undergraduate students with local churches, introducing aspects of the
Christian faith, and the implementation of a student mentoring program. The individual will also be advisor and liaison to
the Crandall Student Association (CSA), ensuring that the CSA fulfills their mandate. The manager will also ensure that
international undergraduate students are supported as they arrive in Canada.
The position of Manager of CU Serves and Undergraduate Student Life and Transformation reports directly to the
Senior Director of Student Life and Transformation, and will work closely with other Student Life staff.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
The successful candidate will have a Master of Divinity or other graduate degree in theology and at least five years of experience in Christian ministry with young adults. Ordination or willingness to pursue ordination with the Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada or a similar denominational family would be an asset.
The successful candidate should demonstrate an understanding of Crandall University. They must also demonstrate excellent interpersonal and managerial skills, strong organizational skills and written and verbal communication skills.
This individual must also demonstrate a proven ability to multi-task and good computer skills in Microsoft Office products. The successful candidate must have the ability to maintain confidentiality. He or she must also be self-motivated while also able to receive instruction.
