We are looking for someone who can shepherd our congregation through a time of loss.  Our Pastor recently passed away after a short illness and we are looking for someone who loves the Lord, is able to love and relate to people of all ages; loves the word of God and is excited to preach in a relatable way to our modern times. 

e are a medium-sized, multi-cultural congregation, in the Ottawa Baptist Association.  We moved to our location in 1992 when we built our present building.  We recently celebrated our 71st anniversary as a congregation.  We are located in a residential area and not in the downtown core.   

To create in Bethany a stimulating Christian fellowship, and to be Spirit-led agents of positive change in the lives of those we encounter in our communities.  To glorify God and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.  We believe in the Holy Trinity and the risen Christ. 

Has proof of accreditation with Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec or the Presbytery of Ottawa (Presbyterian Church of Canada), and has been ordained.  Please submit your post-graduate education related to theological studies. A minimum of five years of experience is required.  

Preach weekly; attend meetings of governing church bodies; work with the Worship Team in planning weekly worship services, visit members of the congregation such as in Long Term Care homes, in the hospital and at home, conduct baptisms, weddings and funerals.  

• Strong, biblically-based preaching skills 
• Ability to relate to all ages  
• Experience in leading a congregation 
• Good pastoral care skills
