The Custodian will provide cleaning, maintenance and security for the Church. They will be responsible for keeping the building and property clean, orderly and welcoming. The ideal candidate has custodial skills, is reliable with strong work ethics, trustworthy, committed to safety, able to solve problems, is flexible and has good communication skills.

• Minimum 5 years’ working as a Custodian or similar field / able to work independently
• High School Diploma / WHMIS Certifications, an asset
• Able to write and speak English; has good computer skills
• Legally entitled to work in Canada / Must provide a valid police check

• Clean and maintain all areas in the church including sweeping and mopping floors and vacuuming carpets
• Maintain outside premises, moving lawn and cleaning entrances
• Perform maintenance and minor repairs
• Respond to emergency facility and security related issues
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and overall operational continuity
• Manage contracted services for quality and cost-effectiveness
• Assist with event preparations
