The Manager of Student Life and Transformation for International Graduate Students is responsible for planning, directing, and implementing initiatives for transformative Christian hospitality. This includes connecting Christian students with local churches and introducing aspects of Christian community and faith to interested students. The manager will also be responsible for overseeing all issues related to student settlement. This includes, but is not limited to, providing information on housing, resumes and work searches, orientation to Crandall, and accessing essential services. The manager will also coordinate events that celebrate both Canadian and international cultures.
The position of Manager of Student Life and Transformation for International Students reports directly to the Senior Director of Student Life and Transformation, and will work closely with other staff from Student Life and other departments as necessary.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
The successful candidate will have a Master of Divinity or other graduate degree in theology, at least five years of experience in Christian ministry, and at least two years of cross-cultural experience. Ordination or willingness to pursue ordination with the Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada or a similar denominational family would be an asset.
The successful candidate should demonstrate an understanding of Crandall University. They must also demonstrate excellent interpersonal and managerial skills, strong organizational skills and written and verbal communication skills. This individual must also demonstrate a proven ability to multi-task and good computer skills in Microsoft Office products. The successful candidate must have the ability to maintain confidentiality. He or she must also be self- motivated while also able to take instruction.
