Andrea immigrated to Canada from the Southern United States in 2013. She graduated in 2017 with a Master’s in Theological Studies and an emphasis in Spiritual Formation from Tyndale Seminary where she developed her passion for Spiritual Direction. After graduation, she moved to Scotland, Ontario as co-pastor of a CBOQ church.
After fulfilling this charge, she and her husband relocated back to Toronto in 2020 where she is currently working as a spiritual director for Anchor and Serenity, and she also works part-time with the Tyndale Intercultural Ministries Centre (TIM Centre) as an Assistant Leadership Consultant. When called upon, Andrea also provides pulpit supply for CBOQ churches.
At the core of Emmaus Formation Center is the ministry of spiritual direction. Spiritual direction is between the spiritual director, the directee and the Holy Spirit with the ultimate goal of seeking spiritual formation.

It’s time to receive an invitation from Jesus to rest. It’s time for Him to minister to you. We invite you to Soul Day for Pastors to receive that rest. Rest in our souls and our bodies is needed more than ever. This guided personal retreat experience will provide a blend of online worship and community and off-line personal spiritual practices.
Soul Day is a day set aside for pastors and their spouses to be with God and to be in community other pastors. Throughout the year, pastors and ministry leaders are leading others spiritually. Soul day is for pastors to be guided through practices to encourage rest, renewal, friendship, and spiritual practices. Soul Day is not about getting things done but to simply be with Jesus.
This Soul Day will be on the topic of discernment.
Discernment is a crucial spiritual practice. To discern literally means to separate. We discern between good and evil. (1 Kings 3:9). We discern between the work of God and the work of people. As we experience a significant transition coming out of a pandemic, discernment becomes even more crucial for pastors and ministry leaders. Discernment requires for us to slow down and listen. Together, we will devote our times to discern what God is doing in our own lives, in our communities, and in our ministry. We will be working through Elijah’s story (1 Kings 17-19). Please read this story beforehand and orient yourself in it.
- Solitude (1 Kings 17:1-7)
- Community (1Kings 17:8-16)
- Ministry Highs (1 Kings 18:16-46) and Lows (1 Kings 19:1-18)
Subsidized cost for Spiritual Direction is $25. If this is your first time receiving Spiritual Direction at Soul Day, there is no charge.
