Dufferin St. is seeking a pastor for their small congregation in Downtown Toronto.

Overview of Church and Community

This is a small church which presently is focusing on ministering to Spanish speaking people from various countries in Latin America. The community around the church is multi-ethnic with only a few Spanish speaking families living in the immediate vicinity of the church. Our church is mainly made up of single adults with families composed of a few children and youth. The vision of our church is to develop a multi-cultural congregation with the church services being bilingual (English/Spanish). This will assist us in meeting the needs of our community and will also minister specifically to those in the congregation who belong to the second generation.

Role and Responsibilities

The pastor’s duties are as follows:
Preaching in the Sunday services; broadening and strengthening the Christian Education Department- Sunday School and Discipleship; building up a youth group; fostering a strong prayer ministry, encouraging outreach activities and ministries to the community with the result that some people will become integrated into the church.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

The applicant should have a degree from a Bible College or Seminary and should be willing to work towards accreditation with CBOQ.
