CBOQ Micro-Grants

CBOQ is excited to be able to equip its churches and leaders through new micro-grants. Designed to give your CBOQ church’s ministry a boost, we are pleased to offer grants in the following categories:

  • Communications Enhancement
  • Missional Generosity
  • Student-Led Initiatives

We are excited for the opportunities these grants will open for our family of churches! Find out more about the requirements and fill out the application below.

Priority will be given to churches who haven’t received a grant in the past 10 years and will be evaluated in the order in which they are received.
Churches can only apply for a micro grant once in one calendar year for only one category (Missional Generosity, Communication Enhancement Grants). Churches applying for a Student Initiatives Grant may apply to one of the other categories.

Student-Led Initiative Grants

Youth and young adults are capable of dreaming different, creative and diverse ways in bringing Jesus’s good news to their peers and beyond. Part of the church’s responsibility is to support, empower and advocate alongside the inspirations these youth within our churches receive from God.

As your youth begin to receive these seeds of ministry, we encourage your church/youth ministry to come alongside them to support and encourage; one way is to apply on their behalf for one of our Student-Led Initiatives microgrants up to $1000.

Grant application selection criteria is based on:

  1. The student’s (defined as those ages 25 years and younger) project proposal including how they will lead and implement that project.
  2. The church’s endorsement of the project including how they will support and advocate for that student.
  3. Churches can only apply to one micro grant in a calendar year.
  4. Order of grant applications being received before the deadline.

What can these funds be used for?

  • Any student-led ministry initiative that is endorsed by the church (e.g. community outreach, school outreach, inter-church service opportunity, etc.)

When is the grant deadline?

  • There are two intake deadlines: April 15 and October 15

What do we need to do as a church to be eligible?

  • A written project proposal by the student including metrics or ROI aligned to the purpose and mandate of their project.
  • Fill out the Student-Led Initiatives Grant Application belowThis will include a resolution by your governing board (empowered to make financial decision).
  • Before the application deadline, a meeting between the student and a CBOQ Next Gen representative (e.g. Alvin Lau, CBOQ Youth Ministries Associate).
  • The student(s) and church will submit a written report during the mid-point and end-point of the project outlining the status of the project in relation to its objectives, the celebrations of the project and improvements.
